Sometimes it feels like only adoptees struggle to say goodbye silently. We are supposed to stay quiet and be grateful that we weren't aborted... Funny thing about that though I know of alot of adoptees that wished they had been aborted so that they never had to feel the pain they feel. Sadly adoptees are 4X more likely to attempt suicide.... And unfortunately we can't compare our grief to any of the kept's grief. The kept can openly greave for their loss... We get to greave for our fortune of not being aborted... Odd way to look at it but the reality is pretty straight forward. We get to be grateful for our adoptive families receiving the gift of our life. We may not bring up the past of our trauma of our first mother's loss. i know someday this will all make sense but until then I hope you enjoy reading about my daily challenges... Survival is the adoptees best kept secret.
