I read alot of people's opinions. I am now realizing that I am allowed to have an opinion of my very own. When I was in my adoptive home I was always told that my opinion was wrong and that I needed to conform to the way they thought. I never thought the same way as them, I kept my opinion to myself for fear of being returned to the unknown. I'm pretty sure most adoptees went through this way of rationalization. I realize that everyone has experienced this as well but I don't think they ever felt threatened with removal. I'm sad when I hear parents tell their kids that if it weren't for them they wouldn't have a roof over their heads or the food in their belly or even the clothes on their back. I can honestly say I never put my kids through this. It would wrong on so many levels for an ape to say this to anyone. We have always been told that if we buck the system that we must be ungrateful. Which is so far from the Truth... There can be no one more grateful than an Adoptee...
