Does anyone else get the feeling that they are paying for someone else’s crimes for life...or does it just happen to adoptees?
It’s weird how we are given a lifelong sentence from birth and the Birth Parents only start to serve their sentence from the very day that we were conceived. Frustrating, isn’t it...in fact it almost seems unfair. But ‘it is what it is’. As long as they’re happy with their decision. We as adoptees don’t have any rights. It’s funny how the therapists think that we are living in the victim state, and we need to move on back to the way we once were. Haha, we were never not a victim. We don’t have a memory of being OK. But of course we do get to spend the rest of our lives devictimizing ourselves. I guess it just goes to show that adoptees are stronger than anyone when they realize what they were forced through.
