Positive adoption language can stop the spread of misconceptions such as these. By using adoption language, we educate others about adoption. We choose emotionally “correct” words over emotionally-laden words. This is when she decided to immigrate to Vancouver and become a therapist. After three years of intensive studies, she began to work in the fields of art therapy, expressive arts therapy, counselling, and life coaching.

The following article explains some of what an adoptee can go through... Click on the pic... I feel like I need to stress to adopted men that they should come to the meet and greet. I have one male friend that has had major struggles with his adoption and I have to say, one sex does not suffer or struggle more than another sex when it comes to the adoption process. We all have had good and bad experiences with our own adoptions but it would be awesome to have a supportive shoulder from as many as possible...there are a lot of us out there.
The timing of this sale couldn’t come at a better time...our first meet and greet and we can discuss doing DNA tests to help better understand our missing links...
I am so excited to meet everyone!!! so our first group meeting is this Saturday Evening and I am hoping for a good turnout. It wouldn’t surprise me if I’m alone. Sometimes adoptees don’t like to vent their feelings out loud for fear of being judged. My hopes for the support group is for ‘the support’ that we can give each other since it’s hard for a non adoptee to fully feel and understand the journey that we have gone through.
